What Is the Kalpana Chawla Scholarship?

The Kalpana Chawla Scholarship is Biyani Group of Colleges’ flagship merit-based scholarship for girl students. Named after India’s first woman in space, the scholarship recognises academic excellence and helps talented girls access higher education without financial worry. The scholarship provides a direct tuition fee waiver applied to your annual fees at the time of admission.

Who Is Eligible?

You can apply for the Kalpana Chawla Scholarship if you meet all of the following:

1. You are a girl student applying for admission to any UG or PG programme at Biyani Group of Colleges for 2025-26.
2. You have completed Class 12 (for UG programmes) or graduation (for PG programmes) from a recognised board or university.
3. You scored 60% or above in your qualifying examination.
4. You are a resident of Rajasthan (preference given, though students from other states may apply).
5. You have not previously availed a full fee waiver from another institution for the same programme.

Students from economically weaker sections (EWS) with strong academic records are especially encouraged to apply even if they fall below the 60% threshold.

Documents You Need

1. Class 12 marksheet — original and one photocopy.
2. Class 10 marksheet — for date of birth and identity verification.
3. Aadhaar card.
4. 2 recent passport-size photographs.
5. Income certificate (if applying under EWS category) — issued by a Rajasthan government authority.
6. Caste certificate (if applicable — for reserved category consideration).
7. Domicile certificate (Rajasthan).
8. Admission confirmation letter from Biyani Group of Colleges.

How to Apply — Step by Step

2. Collect all documents from the list above before your visit.
3. Come to the Scholarship Cell at Biyani Girls College, Sector 3, Vidhyadhar Nagar, Jaipur — or ask at the main Admissions Office.
4. Collect and complete the scholarship application form at the office.
5. Submit your form with all supporting documents to the scholarship committee.
6. If shortlisted, attend a brief counselling session with the scholarship committee.
7. Receive written confirmation of your scholarship amount before paying fees.
